The 35th Annual Galveston Historic Homes Tour May 2-3 and May 8-9 2009
There are 10 houses on tour this year on Galveston Island.- Captain Rufus and Sarah Jameson House (1882), 1428 Church,
- *Alfred G. and Laura Youens House (1904), 1512 Rosenberg
- *William Pautsch Cottage (1886), 1905 M ½
- *Steffens-Drewa House (1870, with additions 1907, 1912, 1914), 2701 Avenue O
- Dr. Carey and Eliza Wilkinson House (1891), 1605 Avenue K
- *Christopher Schmidt House ( c.1860), Restoration in Progress, 1524 Avenue K
- *William and Lena Juneman Smith Cottage (1892), 1709 Ball
- John E. and Laura Baily House (1893), 1805 Broadway
- *Henry M. Trueheart’s Tenant Houses (1893), 1821 & 1823 Winnie
* have never been on tour before.
All survived Hurricane Ike. 2 received water damage to their living spaces.- 1428 Church received 4 feet.
- 1512 Rosenberg received 4 inches.
All had water damage in yards, mechanical systems and underneath storage/guest areas.- 9 survived the 1900 Storm. (1512 Rosenberg was built in 1904, after the storm.)
- 6 were built following the 1885 fire as replacements for properties lost in the fire.
Every year, the tour is held the first two weekends in May. 2009 - May 2 and 3 and May 9 and 10.

www.galvestonhistory.org for tickets for $20. Galveston Historical Foundation member tickets are $15 and are sold only at GHF Headquarters, 502 20th Street. Beginning May 2, the first day of the tour, tickets are $25. Special rates are available for group tours.
